Introduction

Our local chapter was founded in 2011 and has 70 members in 9 different countries. We have the unique situation of operating in 2 languages and in a territory 3 times larger than Europe, so our challenges and work agenda are very specific. As we develop the global strategy of our society we also work on very important local topics, such as:

PROFESSIONAL GROWTH – through systematic communications, continued training and certifications we need to make sure incentive travel professionals are valued for the expertise and special skills they bring to our industry

VISIBILITY – with an aggressive communication plan we aim to amplify our voice through online and offline channels, within our industry and reaching direct corporates, other associations and government entities

CSR ENGAGEMENT – constantly work to adopt “fair trade” practices, make conscious use of local suppliers and implement a sustainable approach in our companies and incentive travel programs, developing towards the integration of business and sustainable practices

South America has a particular history, which combines many cultures and races. In ancient times there were native people, who lived without any contact with the civilizations of other continents. The most important of these populations were the Incas. After the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus, South America received major migration waves mainly from Spain and Portugal but also from Italy, France, Germany and the Near East. The various population groups then followed a process of miscegenation. This spectacular region possesses contrasting landscapes with mountains, lagoons, valleys, beaches ravines, salt desserts , as well as the charm of a millenary past preserved in its traditions, its culture and its people. The region offers a wide variety of options for going out all day long, all week long. Theatres, tango houses, art displays, cinemas, museums, restaurants, casinos, discos, shopping malls, etc. No sleeping pill will stop you from going out and enjoy our endless nightlife!
